Trafford FT Borough Status Renewal

In January 2010 Trafford achieved FairTrade Borough status, our first renewal application is now due and the Trafford FairTrade Steering Group are compiling the necessary data to maintain Fairtrade Borough status.
We need your help, please can you let me know where you have seen or bought products with the FairTrade logo on it, in addition to the regular supermarkets. There are thousands of businesses in Trafford, plus cafes, restaurants, hotels, B & B's, guest houses, hairdressers, beauty salons, gyms and leisure centres, etc, to name just a few.
We have had excellent support from our steering group members who helped to achieve FairTrade Borough status, and our FairTrade Detectives from local charity United Response - but we need your help to identify those areas listed where we have gaps!
Trafford as a Fairtrade Borough is a prestigious title that we want to be proud of keeping, and giving us a higher ranking alongside the other Greater Manchester authorities who have achieve Fairtrade Borough or City status.
NEXT STEP - be on the look out for the Fairtrade sign, make a note of the location, then email me to let me know.
Fairtrade ensures basic rights for producers by offering fair and guaranteed prices and encouraging long-term trading commitments. It means that nearly eight million farmers, workers, craftspeople and small-scale producers are now getting a better deal in return for their hard labour.
Making the positive choice of buying fairly traded food, clothes and craft items is a simple way of improving people's prospects and you get the quality you want.

Thanks
